creative journal
the things that have been my creative brain recently: cross stitch, crochet, magazines and print publications, autumn and the ideas of things decaying, CANNIBALISM (as a literary tool), collaging, more cyanotypes + attempts at animation, clay charms, video games, drawing on an ipad????, BDAY OUTFITS, setting up my living room, nail designs, biker boots for fall, and PINS/BUTTONS. I write on a few of them beloooow★birthday outfits for my 20th
okay so I’ve already decided that there will be two events: the gathering (preferrably at a bar) and the soiree (held at my home). The latter will be more formal and the former will be more casual. So two completely different vibes and two oppurtunities to put together beautiful and contrasting outfits. For the first more causal gathering I’m currently planning to use at least one item that I already have and thrifting/sustainably sourcing the rest. I’m being intentionally ambiguous because I still have not the slightest clue of what the outfit could be. I fancy an all black look, an off the shoulder top, a long sleeve shirt with a perfect crop that shows a sliver of stomach, a skirt over pants, a sleek midi, a long sleeve mesh, a close-fititng knit, and a perfect fit jean with a heeled boot. One thing I really love for the causal outfit is this Sandy Liang ribbon/corsage that Clairo wore on tour.

oh! I almost forgot-- my bday outfit(s) to have something either from Sandy Liang or Paloma Wool. I’ve admired these brands for as long as I can remember and I want to buy a piece from them to usher me into a new era.
the second look will be a dress/gown. I love maxi dresses bc why not and also because my birthday is in the dead of winter so i kind of have no other option. plus i love the drama.
here’s to thinking of birthday outfits crazy early

cyanotypes & animation
scan of my cyanotype from the workshop
I recently went to a killer workshop which changed the way I see cyanotyping. I have so so many ideas to work on but my first idea is making a stop motion animation with cyanotypes!!! I want to do an apple being eaten or something else equally as mundane/profound. (i know those words mean completely different things but i feel they are both applicable)
finishing my apartment
i love both of these pictures sooooo much. want to have this vibe in the apt via pinterest
I’m obsessed with finding little antique/vintage touches to put around my living room. I recently went to this vintage sale in the basement of a church that blew my minddd. I got so much jewelry, a ton of wall decor, some pins, and a vintage magazine holder!!! My living room still needs a bookshelf and two chairs and lamps... but its well on its way. ALSO wall decor. Is it too juvenile to put up a poster in one’s living room? or should I solely put up framed art?
cross stictch and crochet
This past summer I got this bag from a vintage wholesale event that has ladybugs and other bags on it in this cutesie little crosstich pattern. I love the bag so much-- it fits my laptop which is a HUGE plus. I’ve noticed that doilies are having their moment in fashion alongside cross stitch which i feel is making a very ~subtle~ comback. I also have been using crochet patterns as inspo for my clay charm designs.
clay charm necklaces
I can’t stop making them!!! my only problem is that I’m running out of things to put on them...
pins & buttons
I literally cannot get enough of pins at the moment. I’m so so obsessed and can’t wait to continue adding to my collection. I also saw someone on instagram put pins on their clogs and I can’t stop thinking about it. I will have to copy!
scanner art
I have been having a little too much fun with my scanner!!! see some images that I’ve captured above
also; see the new home screen-- I scanned that too :)
biker boots
unfortunately i have no reference pics because I’m afriad these boots live only in my head-- SIKE found them
so I’m seeking out a deep chocolatey-red OR ashy brown mid calf boot with some buckles and a little slouch/room in it. If you know where I can find some like that please please please let me know. UPDATE: when i wrote this I hadn’t found the boots but now i have. prepare to be absolutely sick of me
