drop 3
(drop 3 is swirly and sweet) I wanted this batch of pieces to have lots of charms and other pieces that were just fun! Fun to make and fun to wear-- drop 3 is allllll about whimsy. I’ve made lots of small charms and simple designs for those who like to let their whimsy stay on the inside and some larger, more eye catching charms for those who don’t mind a colorful statement. As always, this drop is experimental; I use 3 different clay bodies (two never before used for an ev-irl collection) and I try out some new shapes, charm types, and GLAZES. I am SO pleased with how this drop came out. I even made buttons for Made to be Mad like WHAT.
The drop of this collection also marks the opening of custom orders/commissions that will be ready alongside the next drop. If you are interested in commissioning a piece of my work, send me a dm on @studios_irl on instagram (even if you are reading after the window closes still shoot me a message!)
Overall, I am so proud of this collection, and so very proud to also be selling it in person at the mcgill Farmer’s Market this summer. From July 3-August 21 every thursday :) come meet me in person and try on the charms before purchasing!
I’m working on lots of projects at the moment and can’t wait to share every little detail.

jars
jars are my roman empire. I love jars! and after countless people asking if the jars to use as decor on my table were for sale I finally made some jars for sale LOL. These jars are all attempts at nailing my preffered jar form. They aren’t perfect, but they’re pretty damn good.

extras
This drop’s extras were the swans, flowers, and some trinket dishes! I actually made the flowers for the previous drop, but i wasn’t able to glaze fire them in the same load as everything else. I believe these flowers belong much more in drop 3. Unfortunately, I had a kiln fail (and glazing flop tbh) which caused two pieces to fuse together. Still, I’m very happy I had all of these pieces to experiment with the new glazes on! This isn’t exactly the first time I’ve used regular glazes for an item for a drop (as opposed to underglaze which is use for MOST charms), but these glazes I hand picked with ev-irl in mind, so that makes it all the more special.
